This role will work closely with Risk, Finance, and the broader Client Profitability Center of Excellence, including Profitability and Pricing platforms, management reporting, and other instrument level-tools to ensure alignment and consistency across lines of business and with industry standards. This role will advise executive leadership on significant methodology changes, including equity, capital, cost allocations, revenue, Basel frameworks, and interdependencies with other systems and reporting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Lead strategy and execution for profitability financial methodologies, serving all Truist lines of business while expertly balancing corporate strategy, client profitability, and the constant industry and market changes2. Ownership of transforming methodologies to create a clear, common view of client profitability for all Truist lines of business3. Partner closely with the Pricing Team to refine pricing configurations and methodology changes, assisting with business validation thereof4. Lead an expert team comprised of expertise across various lines of business and corporate functionsa. Translate complex financial concepts and methodologies into pricing tools and profitability platforms to support implementation of pricing and profitability strategies for client-facing teammates, driving tangible results tracked through KPIsb. Frequently evaluate Truist's methodologies relative to peers and industry standardsc. Own alignment and ongoing refreshes of stressed equity, Basel frameworks, cost allocations, product and segment revenues, and instrument-level pricing and profitability, including all related modeling and governance thereofd. Lead working groups and/or committees with cross-functional partners and leadership to ensure upstream and downstream impacts related to instrument-level and management reporting are thoughtfully considered5. Partner closely with Finance and Risk to ensure Truist methodologies are facilitating industry-leading, competitive pricing and profitability for all lines of business6. Support conversations with financial regulators to ensure Truist remains compliant and in good standingRequired Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. 15 or more years of experience at a leading financial institution in Finance, FP&A, Financial Methodologies, and/or Corporate Treasury.2. Mastery of theoretical, practical accounting and finance concepts and techniques which impacts profitability (cash flow models, ROE, economic capital, funds transfer pricing, cost allocations, liquidity, stress testing/CCAR, etc.), including the ability to perform the mathematical calculations, develop models, tools and methodologies which replicate financial mathematics of various financial instruments3. Mastery of standard banking frameworks, such as Basel III4. Experience in direct interaction with banking regulatory bodies5. Ability to influence across a broad spectrum of partners and complexities, including senior executives at the highest level of the bank. Proven professionalism and credibility in the banking industry.6. Outstanding strategic and tactical critical thinking skills: ability to synthesize complex information to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels. Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into concrete analytical and reporting deliverables with broad applications.7. Experience implementing major strategic initiatives by articulating a vision, presenting facts and integrating change management capabilities and practices that enable the organization to achieve its objectives.8. Ability to synthesize forward-looking trends and implications, creatively solve problems and approach situations with a fresh and well thought out perspective9. Strong leadership skills; provide direction, lead courageously, influence others and foster teamwork, motivate, coach and develop others while championing change10. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise11. Executive level communication skills; ability to speak effectively, foster open communication, listen to others and deliver presentations, including persistence and ability to negotiate with and influence executive decisions.Preferred Qualifications:1. Master's degree in Finance/related field or equivalent education (including extended business leadership training, Banking School Graduate) and related experience.2.
