Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant in Consumer & Small Business Banking. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at Lead Marketing Consultant will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy and managing the execution of acquisition, deepening and cultural engagement campaigns for the Black African American (BAA) segment.About this role:This is a unique opportunity to lead Wells Fargo's marketing efforts to increase the bank's share in the BAA segment market. This Lead Marketing Consultant will be the Black African American Segment Marketing Leader, responsible for leading the ideation and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives that effectively contribute to acquire and retain BAA customers and build brand trust and consideration among BAA community in the US. This Segment Marketing Leader will be responsible for implementing all celebratory marketing campaigns to showcase Wells Fargo's commitment with the advancement of the BAA community. This leader will also contribute, by collaborating with product, strategy and other teams, to develop unique value propositions for BAA consumers.This position reports to the Head of Marketing for Diverse Segments for the Consumer and Small Business Banking business. The position sits in the Diverse, Affluent, Student, & Emerging Segments marketing team, which is responsible for developing the marketing strategy for all consumer segments and coordinating its execution. The team's goal is to drive acquisition of new consumer accounts, deepen relationships with existing customers, and build brand awareness, trust and consideration, particularly among Diverse Segments, including Hispanic, African American, AAPI, AI/AN, PwD, Mil/Vet, and LGBTQ.In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to develop Wells Fargo's marketing strategy to acquire and retain BAA customers
  • Responsible for the execution of marketing activities to acquire and retain BAA customers
  • Lead complex initiatives, working across different functional teams, to strategize, plan, and directly execute marketing campaigns and initiatives for the BAA segment.
  • Manage agency relations to bring marketing campaigns to life.
  • Participate and lead complex cross-functional groups to create, edit, and manage digital content for more advanced marketing campaigns, programs or initiatives that enable seamless customer engagement across all digital channels.
  • Manage marketing budget and forecast for BAA segment
  • Collaborate with multiple partners across teams to build marketing campaigns to promote Wells Fargo's HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) debit card designs.
  • Provide marketing support to activate partnerships with national and local partner organizations, including HBCUs and National non-profit organizations.
  • Build marketing campaigns to contribute to bank more BAA unbanked consumers, in support of Wells Fargo's Banking Inclusion Initiative.
  • Analyze and interpret trends to ensure adherence to legal, compliance, privacy regulations and policies related to marketing.
  • In addition to leading all marketing initiatives for the BAA segment, this Segment Lead could also drive smaller scampaigns and initiatives for the Military Veterans, People with Disabilities, or American Indian Segments.
  • Partner with external agency on developing the media buy plan for BAA Segment.
  • Coordinate sponsorships and events targeted to the Black African American SegmentRequired Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
      • Excellent writing and communication skills
      • 3+ years or experience with BAA cultural and consumer insights
      • 5+ years of experience developing strategy proposals, marketing strategy plans, campaign execution and campaign results analysis
      • 3+ years of creative development; managing agency relationships, providing direction on creative development
      • Multicultural Marketing Experience
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop complex presentations
      • Ability and desire to do campaign marketing execution
      • Ability to interact efficiently with multiple and diverse product, legal, compliance, marketing, strategy, and other teams within the context of a large corporation
      • Experience developing media plans for the BAA segment
      • Strong analytical skills. Ability to report on campaign analysis
      • Experience creating dynamic PowerPoint presentations that include charts and graphs, consumer insights, market trending, research findings, creative pieces
      • Experiencing managing budget for marketing campaigns
      • Communications and public affairs experience
      • Community engagement, Sports marketing, Event management, and/or Contract management
      • Master's degree in a marketing, strategy or business development related fieldJob Expectations:
