It all begins with you.About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking two Senior Lead Enterprise Risk Officers to provide second level review on payment companies.In this role, you will:

  • Operate within an Independent Risk Management (IRM) framework and will provide senior management with an independent perspective of the level of risk to which the business is exposed across all risk types as it relates to the payment companies segment of the Merchant Services business
  • Work collaboratively across the Business and Independent Risk Management
  • Regularly present to senior management in Consumer Lending, Risk Management and Regulators on the risk position of the Merchant Services Payment Companies portfolio
  • Develop and establish an early warning or trigger system that assists in identifying material, aggregate and emerging risks
  • Identify and escalate risk and control issues to the Head of Payment Companies Risk in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Drive the resolution of Issues remediation plans and regulatory commitments, as applicable
  • Identify and drive opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency through use of internal customer data, risk analytics, risk modeling and automation
  • Promote a strong risk management culture and discipline throughout Merchant Services
  • Demonstrate and sponsor appropriate risk management and leadership behaviors in support of doing what is right for the customer, people as a competitive advantage, ethics, and diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Advise Merchant Services leadership regarding appropriate operations policies and processes leveraging risk management metrics/business scorecard, track performance and monitor trends across the business
  • Oversee and actively manage risks within the approved risk appetite and oversee the continued refinement and/or development of appropriate controls
  • Regularly present to senior management in Consumer Lending, and Risk Management
  • Implement the Risk Management Framework by promoting the adoption of the Risk Operating Model, setting clear behavioral expectations for risk management, ensuring clearly defined roles and accountability, and promoting a sound control environment
  • Ensure that Merchant Services strategic priorities align with Consumer Lending's risk appetite and the risk management governance frameworkRequired Qualifications, US:
    • 7+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
      • 7+ years of experience within Merchant Services, Payments or Treasury Services.
      • Knowledge of Fintech
      • Expertise in all risk categories including credit, third party, operational and compliance
      • Proven communication skills with the ability to influence, develop, partner with, and maintain collaborative relations at all levels within the organization
      • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and effectively build relationships within a matrixed environment to influence outcomes both within the front line and IRM
      • Strong educational credentials with an M.B.A. or Master's degree preferred
      • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously
      • Ability to apply critical thinking in describing multiple risks into a single risk landscape
      • Ability to develop and manage business relationships
