It all begins with outstanding talent. It all begins with you. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist in Corporate Risk as part of Credit Card Account Management Execution. The Credit Card Account Management Execution team is responsible for generating lists of customers to receive changes to their credit card. The changes are dictated upstream by the Strategy Team via complex business requirements. This role must work with the Strategy team to understand the context of the business goals and translate them into business rules executed in SQL/SAS.A successful candidate will be able to understand big picture goals in a complex environment and have the technical aptitude to implement these goals into an automated decision system. They will also be familiar with understanding technical/business requirements and translating those requirements into business process diagrams. They will prepare technical designs for modifications to and integration with existing applications. The role would require the candidate to partner with peers, business stakeholders, and colleagues from within and outside the account management support team, to maintain and support the application, analyze and troubleshoot the production problems, and perform defect remediation. In this role, you will:

  • Develop, test, implement and audit new strategy SAS code and processes
  • Develop, audit and maintain documentation including flow charts, operating procedures and task plans
  • Modify, audit and maintain production strategy code when changes occur
  • Develop strong partnerships with strategy development, product, marketing, finance and other production partners
  • Create documentation for test setup, audits and processes
  • Execute various account management programs such as credit line increase, balance transfer, product upgrade, credit line decrease, inactive closure etc. through SAS/SQL programs
  • Work with broader team to migrate existing SAS/SQL based code to advanced decision engine
  • Identify the root cause of program execution and able to fix the root cause independently
  • Understand existing process flow, design and develop new process based on program specific execution needs
  • Maintain productive relationships with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, and Operations groups
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsJob posting may come down early due to volume of applicants. Required Qualifications, US:
    • 2+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
    • 2+ years of SQL or SAS Experience Desired Qualifications:
      • 2+ years' experience in Business Rules implementation experience
      • 3+ years' experience and proven rules development knowledge using an automated decisioning system or business rules management platform such as the Fico Platform, Zoot's WebRules, Blaze, JRules or iLog, or other application processing and decisioning platforms (e.g. Provenir, Triad, Probe, Transact)
      • A BS/BA degree or higher in computer science, operations research or engineering
      • Exposure to JIRA and Agile
      • Builds relationships through collaboration and teamwork
      • Experience identifying root cause issues and segmentation analysis
      • Ability to research, identify and implement a solution and communicate, in clear business terms, the benefits of the proposed risk management approach
      • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: credit risk, compliance, risk management, or audit operations
      • Demonstrated record of developing creative and innovative solutions to common business problems
      • Experience working on cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
