Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited
to:
* Prepares and reviews annual financial statements of various
separate accounts
* Assists on preparing various deliverables for SOX, internal and
external audit
* Works as a liaison between the external auditors and various
business areas
* Performs and manages multiple tasks and various assignments
including but not limited to daily reconciliations, monthly journal
entries, monthly/quarterly/annual and ad-hoc data analysis and
reconciliations
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and
value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of
precision.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative
techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of
continuous improvement and working together across functions to
solve business problems and meet business goals.
Financial Record Keeping: Knowledge of financial record keeping
processes, methods, and tools; ability to maintain accurate and
thorough records of financial transactions.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of
financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and
thorough financial reports.
General Ledger (G-L): Knowledge of tools, practices and
considerations for general ledger; ability to update and validate
general ledger data.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for
recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational,
operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of
problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Other Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial reporting
* Experience in investment accounting or fund accounting
* Self-starter and detailed oriented
* Flexible and adaptable to change
* Possess a high sense of urgency, strong initiative and ability to
multi-task
* Performs efficiently and effectively in a high-pressured
environment
* Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
* Strong computer skills particularly in Excel (i.e. Lookups,
Pivot, etc.)
* Experience in public accounting and insurance companies is a
major plus
* Experience in SAP a plus
