Job Title Financial Controller Location Charlotte, NC Job Purpose -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- ettain group is excited to announce an opportunity on the Shared Services team in support of ettain group's continued growth and success. The Financial Controller is responsible for the company's financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and various special analyses. -- Duties and responsibilities -- Assure accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting Ensure the financial accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is accurate and complete Develop and issue timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Executive Management Assist FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) with the development of the annual budget and forecast Assist FP&A with monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and forecast analysis Provide banking reports to ensure debt covenants are met Interface with external auditors, bank representatives, and other financial intermediaries on an as needed basis Manage the Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Accounting team members Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and best practices. Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and developing employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Safeguard assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Gather and create financial reporting on an ad hoc basis Additional duties may be assigned as necessary -- Qualifications -- Education and Experience: -- Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; preferably with an Accounting major Five or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2 years of Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains accounting software experience. CPA license is preferred but not required. -- Language and Mathematical Skills: -- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints. Effective and persuasive presentation skills on complex topics. Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements. Controller must use the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondence and communication.
