It all begins with you. Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. The Market and Counterparty Risk Management Group (MCRM) within the Corporate Risk Group provides company-wide leadership, support, and oversight to ensure effective understanding and management of market and counterparty risk across the company. Market and Counterparty Capital (MCC) within MCRM is responsible for calculating market risk and counterparty regulatory capital, and conducting stress testing including the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR). The team performs capital and stress analysis for all mark-to-market assets, including fixed income, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, traded credit, securitized products, and counterparty exposures. The team works with Front Office, Market Risk Oversight, Risk Analytics, Model Risk, Finance, Technology, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure that risk analysis and reporting are accurate and complete. The Traded Products Stress Team within MCC is responsible for conducting market risk and counterparty credit risk stress analysis for regulatory reporting related to CCAR. Role of Market Risk Consultant 4 This leadership position will be focused primarily on market risk and counterparty credit risk identification to support Enterprise Risk Identification and Assessment program (ERIA). The successful candidate will collaborate with business units and other risk groups to refine MCRM s approach to enterprise risk. The role will entail detailed risk data analyses, production of presentations and reports, and the presentation of results on a regular basis to senior management. Additional responsibilities include driving strategic improvements to business processes and policies, conducting regulatory gap assessments, and providing written responses to support CCAR submissions. Major responsibilities will include * Manage relationships with multiple business partners across lines of business, risk management, internal product control, technology, and risk analytics groups * Support the enterprise risk identification program by developing and regularly conducting analyses to score risk materiality * Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, regulators, and peers on a monthly basis * Provide regular assessments of risk materiality * Conduct detailed analysis of risk data with other subject matter experts and coordinate the production of several risk identification reports * Provide leadership for both tactical and strategic improvements to business reporting processes including streamlining workflows and front- line engagement * Develop and maintain MCRM risk identification and stress testing policy and guidance documents * Understand relevant business, regulatory, and risk requirements pertaining to MCRM stress testing * Perform gap analyses and participate in ongoing audits, regulatory exams, and corporate data quality reviews * Respond to requests to support CCAR submissions and other examinations as needed Charlotte, NC is the required location. Required_Qualifications * 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following trading, desk analyst, or capital markets Desired_Qualifications * Advanced Microsoft Office skills * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding BASEL, Risk Appetite and stress testing * Strong presentation skills * Policy and strategy development experience Other_Desired_Qualifications * Demonstrate a strong understanding of capital market products, and experience with financial and accounting concepts and reporting tools * Understanding of market or counterparty risk and relevant risk metrics including exposure and sensitivity measures (DV01, CR01, Delta, Vega, VaR, etc.) * Knowledge and understanding of CCAR/DFAST stress testing and FR Y-14Q requirements * Degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Accounting or similar quantitative major * Familiarity with VBA, SQL, or other scripting language * Ability to work independently and build relationships across teams Street Address NC-Charlotte301 S College St - Charlotte, NC Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
