Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description Operate processing and baking equipment to produce products within Quality Assurance guidelines and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Properly mix ingredients and monitor temperature and moisture levels, making adjustments as needed. Operate and shut down processing and bakery equipment, including changeovers and preventative maintenance. Communicate and escalate quality issues to the appropriate team members. Read and understand batch sheets, follow recipes, and accurately weigh raw materials. Monitor and log temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights, making necessary adjustments. Monitor for possible foreign matter and follow sanitation procedures for clean-ups and changeovers, including chemical handling. Track and dispose of waste properly. Move raw ingredients using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain proper raw material levels, unload raw materials trailers, and update appropriate personnel on raw material needs. Monitor seasoning coverage and make adjustments as necessary. Assist Filler Mixing personnel with tasks such as filling meal cones, opening and stacking filler fat, transporting hoppers/modules, and other filler/mixer duties. Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal protection, maintaining a clean work area and clear aisles/exits. Report defective equipment and all job-related injuries to supervision. Mandatory overtime may be required. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operation. Reliability and dependability, with the ability to show up to work every day. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production and general machine operation. Familiarity with hand tools.
