Job Description:
Position: AVP, Development (Fort Mill, South Carolina) Duties: Oversee all aspects of the software development process
including, requirements, design, coding, configuration, unit testing,
quality assurance and deployment. Ensure adherence to architecture
standards, risk management and security policies. Contribute to and partner with
business analysts, project managers and infrastructure teams to build,
modify and provide ongoing support for LPL’s Advisory Surveillance
Platforms. Partner with development project managers on system functionality
changes by defining development estimates and enterprise quality technical
solutions. Coordinate development with offshore development resources and
upstream data providers. Conceptualize technical solutions, including addressing “end of life” vendor components, and strategic
rebuild of surveillance solutions to help set strategic direction for the
platform. Provide technical support for production issues. Recommend,
schedule, and perform software maintenance, improvements and upgrades. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or
related field and three (3) years’ experience performing design and
development using .Net and SQL Server; or, in the alternative, a Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or
related field and six (6) years’ experience as indicated above. Also requires: demonstrated expertise (DE) performing software
development utilizing C#, ASP.Net MVC, and .Net Framework; DE performing
development and customization of SunGard Protegent, including data
structures, data mining, and ad hoc reporting to monitor accounts for risk and
regulatory compliance; DE performing data ETL using SSIS and Informatica;
DE performing database design, including writing T-SQL queries,
stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and Oracle packages; DE
performing design and development for financial applications and controls,
including for bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and equities; and DE
interfacing with compliance analysts to gather and analyze requirements and
